The Algarve is famous throughout the world as one of Europe's finest

golf destinations. It is also famous for fabulous sunshine and some

wonderful restaurants. We at Algarve Bowls want to bring this to you,

the bowler. We want to provide you with a great inexpensive holiday

and we want you to meet with other bowlers from all over the UK and

Ireland and as the sport grows from all over Europe. We want The

Algarve to become the recognised venue for winter bowling and

we want the name "Algarve Bowls" to become synonymous with

bowling in the sunshine.

We are based in

Vila Real sits on the River Guadiana

which is the Potuguese border with Spain. We can provide superb accommodation for smaller groups

in our 5 bedroomed apartment,

either on a self catering basis or

Bed and Breakfast.

Or if you prefer you can stay at the

bowling complex at the nearby,

Pedras da Rainha

Which can cater for groups of 2 to 52

in the beautiful Ria Formosa Nature

Park in Cabanas, Eastern Algarve

Bowling Venues

We can offer to provide you with 3 bowling venues, 2 in Portugal and 1 in nearby Isla Canela which is on the Spanish Coast and incidentally is one hour ahead of Portugal. We can also offer the previously mentioned Pedras Da Rainha in Cabanas or Tavira bowling club which is located in the hills above the coastal town of Tavira.
